The sub-title<\/em> of this review might well be \u201cRVP Versus the Pandemic\u201d inasmuch as the show goes on in spite of Covid-19 mask mandates and social-distancing requirements\u2026offstage. That said, this production is a worthy diversion from the restrictions we are enduring because of the pandemic. There is plenty of comic relief during the pandemic in this crazy\/slapstick-comedy by Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire — thanks to its script, casting, directing, and acting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kudos<\/u><\/strong> to Co-Producer Heather Shepardson<\/strong>; Director, Chloe Bronzan<\/strong>; and to <\/strong>the Cast for stellar performances: \u201cAbby\u201d (absolutely outstanding by Tori Truss<\/strong>); <\/strong>\u201cScotty\u201d (Beau Tran); <\/strong>\u201cMarilyn\u201d (Pamela Hollings); <\/strong>\u201cColleen\u201d (Rebekah Kouy-Ghadosh); <\/strong>\u201cthe Clown\u201d (Nate Currier); <\/strong>and (Peter Warden) <\/strong>masterfully performing multi-characters: <\/strong>\u201cDerek,\u201d \u201cZombie Butler,\u201d and \u201cMasked Man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kudos<\/u><\/strong> to the Crew for creating our escape <\/em>into the \u201csafe space\u201d of the living facility: Tom O\u2019Brien<\/strong> (Scenic Design) with Scenic Artistry by Dhyanis Carniglia; Michael Walraven <\/strong>(Set Construction). Stage Manager Dianne Harrison\u2019s <\/strong>talents and those of her assistants, Ben Vasquez and<\/strong> Raysheina de-Leon-Ruhs<\/strong>, were shown by the flawless property design choices and their use. Kudos to Bruce Viera <\/strong>(perfect Sound Design); also, to Michael A. Berg<\/strong> for his tasteful costuming; also, kudos to Richard Squeri<\/strong> for the excellent coaching of the sky-diving skit, combat and intimacy choreography, as well as practical effects; and to Tina Johnson <\/strong>for excellent Lighting Design.<\/p>\n
