As the twinkling lights of the h0liday season wrap us in their warmth, have you ever wondered why we sometimes call it Xmas<\/strong>?<\/span><\/p>\n

The story goes way back to the 4th century <\/strong>! Early Greek Christians used the letter Chi (\u03a7)<\/strong>, the first letter of Christos<\/strong> (\u03a7\u03c1\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03cc\u03c2), meaning Christ, to symbolize their faith. It was later paired with Rho (\u03a1)<\/strong>, creating the Chi-Rho (\u2627)<\/strong> symbol, seen in ancient manuscripts, coins, and art.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fast forward to the 15th century<\/strong>, English scribes began using Xmas<\/strong> as shorthand for Christmas, carrying on this old tradition. By the 19th century<\/strong>, Xmas<\/strong> was fully embraced, appearing\u00a0on cards, signs, and holiday decorations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Xmas<\/strong> has deep roots in faith and history \u2014 it\u2019s not about leaving Christ out but keeping Him at the center. \u2764\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether we say Christmas or Xmas, what really matters is the love, joy, and togetherness this season brings.<\/span><\/p>\n
